Confidently confirm presumptive-positive Listeria species and L. monocytogenes colonies in just 15 minutes.

Thermo Scientific™ PrecisCheck™ Listeria Kits each contain 50 test strips that utilize advanced lateral flow immunology to produce a positive test line in the presence of the target organism. Use to confirm presumptive-positive colonies gown on Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Brilliance™ Listeria Agar (ISO) as part of the Thermo Scientific™ Listeria Precis™ Methods. Listeria species appear as blue colonies, and L. monocytogenes as blue colonies with an opaque white halo, when grown on Brilliance Listeria Agar (ISO). These presumptive-positive colonies can be confirmed directly from the plate using a test strip from the respective Precis Check Kit.

Rapidly confirm presumptive-positive colonies of Listeria species and Listeria monocytogenes in as little as 15 minutes with the Precis Check Listeria species and Precis Check L. monocytogenes Kits.

  • Use as part of the Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Listeria Precis™ Methods for the detection and enumeration of Listeria species and L. monocytogenes.
  • Use one to five presumptive-positive colonies grown on Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Brilliance™ Listeria (ISO) Agar for the confirmation test.
  • The Precis Check Kit strips are ready to read in 10-20 minutes
  • One line on the Precis Check Kit test strip indicates a negative result (control line only) and two lines (control line and test line) indicates a positive result.
  • Precis Check Kits are stored at room temperature.
  • The Listeria Precis Methods are validated for a broad range of samples according to ISO 16140-2 following NF VALIDATION rules when compared to the ISO 11290-1:2017 and ISO 11290-2:2017 Microbiology of the food chain – Horizontal methods for the detection and enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes and of Listeria spp.
