Description

Used as a pH indicator and tracking dye. Bromocresol Green Solution, EP Grade, Reagecon™ is a ready-to-use analytical volumetric solution used in manual and automatic titrations. It is manufactured according to European Pharmacopoeia Chapter 4 (4.1.1) and prepared in an ISO 9001 facility.

Bromocresol green (BCG) is a dye of the triphenylmethane family. It is used as a pH indicator in applications such as growth mediums for microorganisms and titrations. It is also used as a tracking dye for DNA agarose gel electrophoresis. It functions as an inhibitor of the prostaglandin E2 transport protein.
