Description

DURAN™ Membrane Venting GL Screw Cap, Blue PP, Welded-in ePTFE Membrane for Pressure Equalisation During Autoclaving allows safe steam sterilisation of media bottles. The 0.2μm ePTFE membrane enables sterile gas exchange and pressure equalisation while keeping bottle contents sterile.

  • Pressure equalisation during steam sterilisation, the 0.2μm ePTFE membrane permits automatic sterile gas exchange in two directions
  • Microporous ePTFE membrane blocks ingress of liquids or solids, keeping bottle contents sterile throughout the autoclave cycle
  • Increased gas exchange rate due to thin 0.2μm ePTFE membrane combined with larger ventilation openings
  • PTFE membrane and polypropylene mesh support are ultrasonically welded in place, forming a durable seal
  • Reusable and cost effective — replacement recommended after 3 to 5 autoclave cycles or if membrane becomes damaged or contaminated
  • ePTFE membrane conforms to USP 121°C Class VI; supported by polypropylene mesh
  • Compatible with GL 25, GL 32, and GL 45 DIN thread laboratory bottles; ideal for storage or transport of gas-generating media
