Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (81%), Rat (81%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-60120 (PA5-60120. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
COX3 is a multi-pass membrane protein. It belongs to the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 3 family. Defects in COX3 are a cause of Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) and cytochrome c oxidase deficiency (COX deficiency). Defects in MT-CO3 are also found in mitochondrial encephalomyopathy with lactic acidosis and stroke-like episodes (MELAS) syndrome and recurrent myoglobinuria.
