Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (98%), Rat (98%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-53301 (PA5-53301. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

CDK17/cyclin Y serine/threonine kinase or cyclin-dependent kinase 17 belongs to the cdc2/cdkx subfamily of kinases. CDK17/cyclin Y has similarity to a rat protein that is thought to play a role in terminally differentiated neurons. The identification of a large family of cdc2-related kinases opens the possibility of combinatorial regulation of the cell cycle together with the emerging large family of cyclins.
