This specially purified fraction of mineral oil protects immobiline drystrip gels from drying and from the atmosphere during the first dimension of 2-D electrophoresis. Cytiva™ Immobiline™ DryStrip Cover Fluid is also suitable as a contact between cooling plate and gel backing film in horizontal electrophoresis.
