Description

BioPulverizer™ System I is the perfect starter pack for new FastPrep™ Instrument owners. Contains 10 x 2 mL tubes of Lysing Matrix A, Lysing Matrix B, Lysing Matrix C, Lysing Matrix D, and Lysing Matrix E. Homogenize multiple sample types, including DNA, RNA, proteins and other small molecules.

Contains 10 each of the impact-resistant 2 mL tube of: Lysing Matrix A, Lysing Matrix B, Lysing Matrix C, Lysing Matrix D, and Lysing Matrix E. Optimizes homogenization conditions for multiple sample types, including DNA, RNA, proteins and other small molecules.

  • Tube Size: 2 mL
  • Matrix Type: A, B, C, D, E

Matrix Composition:

  • Matrix A contains garnet matrix and one 1/4 in. ceramic sphere
    • For all sample types except soil
    • Enriches DNA
  • Matrix B contains 0.1 mm silica spheres
    • For bacteria (Gram +/-), spores
    • Enriches DNA, RNA, proteins and other small molecules
  • Matrix C contains 1 mm silica spheres
    • For yeast and yeast spores, fungi and fungal spores, algae
    • Enriches DNA, RNA, proteins and other small molecules
  • Matrix D contains 1.4 mm ceramic spheres
    • Primarily for lysis of softer tissues like brain, liver, kidney, lung and spleen
    • Enriches DNA, RNA, proteins and other small molecules
  • Matrix E, Each impact-resistant 2 mL tube contains 1.4 mm ceramic spheres, 0.1 mm silica spheres, and one 4 mm glass bead
    • For soil, fecal material, environmental water, wastewater, sludge, mixed samples such as microbe-infected tissue, tumors and other difficult tissues
    • Enriches DNA, RNA, proteins and other small molecules
