Description
Active form of Vitamin B-6Pyridoxal-5’-phosphate monohydrate is used to modify the lysyl and valyl residues in proteins. It acts as a coenzyme in transamination reactions and as an inhibitor for purinergic receptors and intracellular. It is involved in decarboxylation and deamination reactions viz. the conversion of dopa into dopamine of glutamate into GABA and histidine to histamine.
