Description

Speed evaporation of up to 48 small samples or 8 large samples at once. Labconco™ RapidVap N2/48 Dry Evaporation System is a nitrogen blow down evaporator with dry block heating and vortex motion to offer a more efficient, automatic system than rotary evaporators or water baths.

  • Fast evaporation rates (methylene chloride: 7.3 mL/minute/tube; water: 1.1 mL/minute/tube)
  • Block has 8 compartments with 6 ports each to handle up to 48 small sample tubes or up to eight 600 mL tubes
  • May be used with a broad range of aggressive chemicals
  • For use in drug development and metabolism, bioresearch, combinatorial chemistry, environmental testing, forensics and toxicology
  • Microprocessor-controlled nitrogen flow, heating system and vortex motor, with easy to read LCD screen
  • Nitrogen blows down directly onto 2, 4, 6 or 8 samples in the manifold to reduce partial pressure, speed evaporation and remove evaporating solvent
  • Dry block heating system, 1000 W, supplies a controlled amount of heat up to 100°C
  • Vortex motion increases surface area for faster evaporation
  • Maintenance-free motor provides smooth variable-speed power to drive the vortex motion up to 500 rpm
  • PTFE-coated aluminum chamber and 8-position sample block
  • Epoxy-coated cast aluminum cabinet base and acrylic/PVC thermoplastic upper housing
  • Glass lid with dual lid clamps
  • Phenol-free gasket provides complete sealing
  • Unique Cool-Zone insulates sample remaining in glassware stem to permit processing to a desired end point, which may not be complete dryness
  • Alarm signals completion of run so samples can be left unattended during operation
  • Up to 9 different user-set programs may be stored in memory to easily set parameters: time, heat, vortex speed, number of active nitrogen positions
  • All mechanical components are isolated from the chemical fumes and vapors for longer life
