Description

Potent serine palmitoyl transferase inhibitor

SPT Imidazopyridine 1 is a potent serine palmitoyl transferase (SPT) inhibitor (IC50 = 5 nM). Dose-dependently inhibits incorporation of 14C-serine into ceramide. Reduces plasma ceramide levels in vivo. Also increases plasma HDL and reduces vLDL cholesterol levels in rats.
