Description

The Applied Biosystems TaqMan Advanced miRNA Human A 96-Well Plates, Fast, provide the convenience of pre-spotted TaqMan Advanced miRNA assays in a 96-well fast plate format.

This product contains a set of 4 plates for profiling of up to 376 unique miRNAs, and includes endogenous and exogenous miRNA controls for normalization of data results.

Features of the TaqMan Advanced miRNA Human A 96-Well Plates include:

  • Reproducibility—pre-spotted assays are designed to reduce pipetting error and minimize experimental variability
  • Sample savings—requires only 2 μL of purified plasma/serum or 1–10 ng of total RNA per sample
  • Updated content—assay content updated for mirBase v.21
  • Easy to use—just add a mix of diluted miR-Amp and master mix and run the qPCR; no additional pipetting required
  • Gold-standard TaqMan qPCR chemistry—TaqMan Advanced miRNA assays draw on Thermo Fisher Scientific's industry-leading bioinformatics assay design pipeline and verification system to help ensure high specificity and minimal cross-reactivity, even for closely-related miRNA families

TaqMan Advanced miRNA plates require the use of the TaqMan Advanced cDNA Synthesis Kit, which uses a universal reverse transcription (RT) chemistry to prepare the cDNA template for use with TaqMan Advanced miRNA assays for detection and quantification of mature human miRNAs in biological samples.

These plates are not compatible with the first-generation TaqMan MicroRNA cDNA Synthesis Kit, which uses an miRNA-specific reverse transcription chemistry.

The minimum amount of TaqMan Array plates needed to submit an order is based on the plate type:
• Inventoried TaqMan array plates: 1 plate
• TaqMan Flexible Content panel array plates: 6 plates
• Custom TaqMan array plates: 6 plates
• Specialty TaqMan array plates: 10-20 plates (depends on assay format and configuration). Please contact our Specialty Plates team at Specialty_Plates@thermofisher.com for details.
Can our TaqMan Array Plates be run on non-Applied Biosystem real-time PCR instruments?

Based on our testing, the 96-well TaqMan Array Plates can be used on the following non-Applied Biosystem real-time PCR instruments:

• Fast (0.1mL) Plates: Bio-Rad CFX Connect and Bio-Rad CFX96 Touch
How do I obtain TaqMan documentation files for my TaqMan array plates?

Beginning in April 2016, TaqMan documentation files for TaqMan Array Plates (assay information files (AIF), experimental setup files, and plate layout files) can be downloaded from the Thermo Fisher Scientific website at https://www.thermofisher.com/taqmanfiles. To obtain your TaqMan documentation files:
• Select the appropriate product type.
• Enter the information being requested for the product type.
• Fixed TaqMan array plates: Enter the Part number and Batch number
• TaqMan Flexible Content panel array plates/Custom TaqMan array plates: Enter the Sales Order number and Batch number
• Click Submit.
