An in vitro environment for neural cell attachment and extensive process formation

Useful for construction of neural cell model systems to study central nervous system (CNS) function, development and diseases—as well as for the discovery of new therapeutic agents.

  • Both laminin (LM) and human fibronectin (HFN) have been shown to be involved in neuronal cell adhesion, neural crest cell migration, neurite outgrowth, growth and regeneration of axons
  • Human fibronectin is derived from human plasma; laminin from EHS mouse tumor
  • Primary rat cortical neuron enriched cultures are tested for receptor agonist induced changes in intracellular calcium using Fluo-3A (long-wavelength fluorescent calcium indicator)
  • Each lot has been tested and found negative for bacteria and fungi

Human plasma used in preparing this product was tested and found negative for HBsAg and HIV antibody.
