Can the MicroAmp TriFlex 3 x 32-Well PCR Reaction Plate (Cat. No. A32810, A32811) be frozen at -20 degrees C or below? If so, for how long?

TriFlex 3 x 32-well plate is made using polypropylene. Most of our plastics are rated for -20 degrees C storage and all should be fine up to 120 degrees C, but they will not withstand -80 degrees C as this will make them brittle with increased risk of cracks.
We cannot provide more product-specific information.

Can the MicroAmp TriFlex 3 x 32-well PCR plate be used with a Fast (0.1 mL) 96-well block?

No. The MicroAmp TriFlex 3 x 32-well plate is designed for standard (0.2 mL) 96-well blocks only.

Should I use the 32-well block frame with the MicroAmp TriFlex 32-well plate on the ProFlex 32-well block thermal cycler?

No. We recommend just putting the MicroAmp TriFlex 32-well plate directly on the ProFlex 32-well block. Do not use the 32-well block frame.

Do end tear tabs need to be removed when using the whole MicroAmp TriFlex 3 x 32-well PCR plates on standard 96-well blocks?

No, side tabs can be left in contact and placed directly on the block when the full plate is used. The tear tabs will not interfere with the fit inside the block.

Can the MicroAmp TriFlex 3 x 32-well PCR plate be used with real-time PCR (qPCR) 96-well block instruments?

The MicroAmp TriFlex 3 x 32-well plates are not validated for use with real-time PCR (qPCR) 96-well block instruments.

Can I use the standard 96-well MicroAmp Clear Adhesive film with the MicroAmp TriFlex 3 x 32-well PCR plate?

Yes. You can use the MicroAmp Clear Adhesive film (Cat. No. 4306311) on the TriFlex 3 x 32-well plate.
