RBM41, known as RNA Binding Motif Protein 41, is identified as a novel component of the minor spliceosome, particularly interacting with its paralog, U11/U12-65K. Both RBM41 and U11/U12-65K share similar C-terminal RNA recognition motifs (RRMs), which are crucial for their role in spliceosomal activity. Distinctly, RBM41 has been associated with spliceosomal functions, although its precise cellular functions remain largely unexplored.
