Do you offer siRNAs for non-coding RNA?

Yes, our Silencer Select siRNA are designed to target both cytoplasmic and nuclear long (>100 nt) ncRNAs for human, mouse and rat. ncRNAS for which pre-designed siRNAs are available closely match the TaqMan Non-coding RNA assays we offer.

I have prepared a 100 µM stock of Silencer Select Pre-designed siRNA. How should I dilute it to obtain a working solution?

We recommend diluting it 1:10 to obtain a 10 µM working solution.

I am using Silencer Select Pre-designed siRNA. How much water should I use for resuspension of 5 nmol lyophilized siRNA for storage?

We recommend adding 50 µl water to 5 nmol of lyophilized siRNA to obtain a 100 µM stock solution that can be stored.

I am using Silencer Select Pre-Designed siRNA. Do I need to aliquot the siRNA after resuspension to avoid repeated freezing and thawing?

Silencer Select siRNA resuspended at concentrations ≥2 µM can undergo up to 50 freeze-thaw cycles without significant degradation. We recommend storing the resuspended siRNA at -20 degrees C or -80 degrees C. If you plan to exceed 50 freeze-thaw cycles, we recommend making a few large aliquots after resuspension and limiting each aliquot to 50 freeze-thaws. Further, we recommend storing the aliquots that are not in use at -70 to -80 degrees C for long-term storage.
